J & H Race Shop

The full moon brought us another night of bad luck! Neither car qualified well, so we started 6th and 8th in the main. They worked their way up to 3rd and 4th, but then started dealing with wrecks and flats. Jackie (W5) ended up finishing 6th after 2 flats and Harley (H3) was unable to finish due to his car being too torn up from the last wreck he was in. Not sure if the H3 will be ready for tomorrow night at Toccoa, but hopefully after a full day at the shop both cars will be ready to go!

Due to Toccoa Speedway calling their race due to weather, Jackie decided to run the FWD (Oc) at Hartwell Speedway…where he pulled off a win!  So we were all thrilled he was able to get a birthday win…Happy Birthday, Jackie!

So to follow up with our “bad luck” post last night, the night didn’t seem to get much better for the Holden boys! Harley (H3) worked his way from last to 5th for the main and Jackie (W5) was running 3rd when he started having engine trouble which was causing the car to skip, therefore was unable to finish the race.  Jackie was however able to pull off a win in the FWD (OC) owned by Becky Cook.  More work to do this week in the shop, but we’ll have them ready for next weekend!  Thankful next weekends race is a qualifying race vs drawing in, so hopefully that will put us back in the front of the field vs the back like where we’ve been the last few races!

Woohoo!!! The Holden boys are back! After a LONG night due to the USCS Sprint cars racing here at Toccoa Speedway tonight, Jackie (W5) finished 1st and Harley (H3) finished 2nd! Celebrating our 4th 1-2 win tonight!

Oh well, the bad luck of Friday the 13th took a toll on us tonight. Both cars were handling horribly and the track was very dry, so we ended up in the main event with Jackie (W5) running 4th and Harley (H3) running 5th. The boys have some work to do in the shop tomorrow to get the cars ready for Toccoa tomorrow night!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!  We enjoyed a day full of quality time with our family!

Not the best of nights for the Holden boys tonight. Harley (H3) started outside pole in the heat race and was spun out on the first corner…after hitting the wall the car did not handle well the remainder of the night. However, he was able to go from 10th to finishing in 3rd in the main event. Jackie (W5) continues to have some issues that need to be worked out in order to get his car back to its normal running ability…he finished 4th in the main event tonight. Issues will be worked out this week and the J & H Race Shop boys will be back at it next weekend!

Doesn’t get much better than a J & H Race Shop win for the first race of the season at Westminster Speedway! Harley (H3) lead his heat race and carried that over into the main event to bring home the win! Jackie (W5) wasnt handling very well and his car wasn’t running quite right, therefore finished 4th. After a little work tomorrow, he and Harley will be ready to head to Toccoa Speedway!

Another great night of racing for the J and H Race Shop at Toccoa Speedway! Jackie (W5) lead the heat race, as well as the main event, and finished 1st! Harley sustained some rear end damage during the heat race, however quickly worked his way up to 2nd in the main where he finished right behind Jackie! Thrilled to be celebrating our 3rd 1-2 win this season! We also want to congratulate all of our fellow race winners at all surrounding tracks!
